Tom P headlines packed out show at Wild Bills
Tom p performs live at Wild Bills as part of The Wild Bills Takeover. The buzzing Atlanta artist released his new album The Preachers Kid on Novemeber 5th 2013. This was part of a brief gig-run that Tom P and his crew did to build hype around the album's release. The album ended up charting on iTunes and topped the independent charts. Tom P rocks 2nd Annual BET HIP HOP AWARDS pre-show concert w/ Mixtape Atlas
Tom P performs live at the BET HIP HOP AWARDS Pre-Show Concert with other up and coming rap talent from the city. Tom P was listed as a headliner, unsurprising due to the buzzing MC recently winning "best hip hop act" in the city and recent shows with MGK, Techn9ne and a headlining performance with Too Short at the A3C. Tom P rocks the SMKA "Hangout Fest" release party
What is "The Hangout?" It's a mix tape that was put together by Atlanta production/branding team SMKA. Tom P has done a lot of work with SMKA over the years. Read more about that here. The mix tape can be described as..
"The Hang Out" is a compilation project created during the A3C Festival in Atlanta at the legendary Stankonia Studios. Production crew SMKA were tapped to created original music while rappers came in and out of the Stankonia Studios during the three-day festival, resulting in this free mixtape. Features include Problem, Tom P, Jarren Benton, Chuck Inglish, Boldy James, Forte Bowie, Denzel Curry, King’s Dead, Kris Kassanova, Scotty ATL, Chill Moody, Kidd Kidd, 40 Akerz, Earthgang, Shawn Crystopher, Bizzy Crook, Cool is Mac, Chase Allen, GQ, Halo, Planet lV and more." On Hotnewhiphop's website.The mix tape was accompanied by a release party at Star Bar. Tom P performed live alongside a lot of other up and coming Atlanta talent, most of whom was featured on the mix tape.

Tom P gets a write up in XXL Magazine The Breaks

XXL is arguably the most popular press on hip hop right now. Once a year they do an issue called "The Freshman" where they put 10 rappers on the cover who they believe will have a big year based off of their current buzz. One of the prerequisites, according to XXL's website, to be a Freshman is to have appeared in "The Breaks."
Tom P, who is generally considered the most slept on southern rapper in history despite his high amount of buzz, lyrical abilities and die hard fan base, finally got a little recognition from the hip hop magazine. Fans of Tom P took to social media to ask why Tom P has not been considered for the XXL Freshman issue. XXL has yet to respond but they need to do what we tell everyone to do. Three 6 Mafia headline Halloween show at new 688 Club with Tom P
Three 6 Mafia
"Three 6 Mafia will headline a Halloween and costume party at the new 688 Club starting at 7 on Halloween eve.
The club, which has re-opened at a new location (714 Spring St. NW in the Spring4th Complex), has a long history in Atlanta, hosting in the ‘80s then-up-and-comers R.E.M., Billy Idol, The Black Crowes and The Go-Go’s among its hundreds of shows.
Steve May, former manager and co-owner of the original 688 Club, is back on board as GM of the new spot.
Along with Memphis hip-hoppers Three 6 Mafia – who will judge the costume contest — the Halloween event will feature {Atlanta favorite Tom P} Project Pat, Lil Wyte, Tom P, Jamie Drastik and DJ Golden. Maurice Garland hosts.
The party is open to all ages (21 and older to drink, obviously). General admission tickets are $30; VIP packages are $120." -Access Atlanta

Welcome to the first post on the new blog. This is from early in my career. Just a short post about myself performing live at the five spot in little five points. At the time I was working on my new project "Self Titled" you can download that at the link below or check out some new releases as well.
Look at that flyer man! Look at that shit! I cannot believe we actually had a flyer that looked like that. Hahahaha. I had forgotten all about this. My first show flyer. People probably laughed their asses off when we showed up at the venue with this as the flyer or handed it to somebody in the street. But we were the one's laughing when we sold the place out. I don't think the five spot took us very serious, but who would? These little white boys come in saying they want to throw a rap show. It even has the Blaqwood camp as an opening act whose members are from the group I started in. But all that is history and fun to look back on. Feel free to check out the rest of the blog.
