So our friend, and fellow rapper from Atlanta, Lyric Jones, organized a show in Athens at a new venue called New Earth. We rolled down to the home of the dawgs to put on this show. It was a good time, check out the photos from our performance below.

Tom P performing at the Fox Theatre! Check out the video
This performance was truly an honor to get to do. The Fox Theatre is one of the most famous venues in Atlanta. It is by all means not a rap venue. For the most part it has plays and shit, like Phantom of the Opera or whatever. The stage is huge and the seating area is massive as well. For this performance, the upper seating was closed off so it was just a massive floor space for fans to dance on or watch the live performances. Gorilla Zoe was the headlining act of the night and we opened. There was also some jackass from MTV there yelling on a microphone incoherent nonsense throughout the evening (even a couple times while we were performing.) I kind of wanted to punch him in the face but I refrained. Anyway, we got some footage of the night. It's not the best, but at least it exists, which is becoming my inner narrative while putting this blog of my history together.

We headlined a show in East Atlanta at a small club called "TNS" place was sold out, got some decent footage of it. The show was on Friday the 13th and I remember it snowed that day. Pretty shitty day to snow when you have a show you're supposed to headline. The people showed up though, it was a packed house and a fun night, despite the weather. Check out the video of it and the original flyer below. Also a bunch of random pics from the night I found. Enjoy.
I also found some pretty rare footage on Facebook.. you can only access it through Facebook's player though, but give it a try if you care to see it > https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=1265967405326

Tom P opens for Nappy Roots at "Star Bar" in Atlanta for a sold out crowd. Other acts who performed that night opening for Tom P included Yelawolf and Aleon Craft. Tom P performed his new song "Spot Light" as a grand finale with a live band and was the only performer of the night to get an encore.

ALL A'S: The crowd was on that crunk juice Friday night at the Star Bar.
UPDATE: SMKA, Fadia Kader and Esperanza hope to recreate the magic of last week's release party at SXSW this year by throwing a free Atlanta showcase involving many of the same artists who performed at the Star Bar on Jan. 22. They're currently seeking partnerships with Atlanta businesses, brands and/or personalities interested in collaborating to pull it off a show that's not intended for them to make profit but to put the spotlight on the local scene. There will be two shows here in Atlanta, March 5 and 12, to raise funds for the SXSW show scheduled to take place Thurs, Mar. 18 at the Light Bar in downtown Austin, Tex. Email smkaproductions@gmail.com for more info.
Hate to sound like a hype man, especially since CL was "co-hosting" SMKA's mixtape compilation release, but even I was surprised when I got to The 808 Experiment: Vol. 2 release party last Friday night after the start time to see a line snaking outside the Star Bar onto Moreland Ave. Inside, the place was vibrating with the kind of energy I haven't felt at a local scene hip-hop show since...dare I say, ever. If you missed the show, you missed an insane amount of underground Atlanta all-stars under one roof. A cat like Tom P could have easily packed out the place by himself with the rabid Decatur fanbase he's built. The same could be said for Yelawolf, Hollyweerd, Rahbi, Gripplyaz and a host of others who were on the bill that night. But the success of that show proved there's strength in numbers.
The best performance of the night came from ALeon Craft, who gave the crowd a snippet of"Botanicals," his song on Vol. 2, while firing up a skinny blunt onstage. Before the song was halfway through, he had DJ Sol Messiah cut the track and asked the crowd if they wanted to hear some new shit. The track Messiah proceeded to play was such a dookie funked-out groove that it felt like we were entering an alternate dimension with ALeon as some extraterrestrial Clintonian (George, not Bill) tour guide.

Teen party in Atlanta! We wrapped up 2009 strong with three shows basically back to back. We rocked a pretty dope show thrown by Bankrupt records at the Masquerade earlier in the week, then a packed house at MJQ the night before we were booked for this.
It was at The Loft which is one of Atlanta's larger venues. I've seen some pretty big acts there. Later on in my story I will end up opening for Techn9ne there for the first time which is how I met him and what later led to us touring with him and Machine Gun Kelly in 2012.
Anyway, this night was a lot of fun. The place was packed but it was definitely a young ass crowd, and when I say young, I mean like, 13-17 year olds. At one point a bunch of girls hopped on stage and started grinding all over Paul and I as you can see in this picture..
We just kept things rolling, but the grins Paul and I have in this picture are priceless. Too bad its another awesome show - shitty picture I remember us looking at each other like…. what the fuck… hahaha.
My little brother was with us at this show though and at the time he was only 16 or 17 so he was basically already.
The footage is not great but you can see sort of see how the crowd. Not sure what the fuck is up with all this red stage light… I guess we used to let anything fly back in the day. We decided to rock our version of "All the way Turnt up!" though and the crowd went crazy.
Dres Tha BEATnik threw us on the line up for a big show at one of Atlanta's most famous clubs "MJQ." This was the first time we ever performed "Life of the Party." The song went over with a hit! Read more about Tom P's live at MJQ

This is the flyer from the show I did with Bankrupt records a whiiiiiiiiile back. Cool Fact: Check the flyer, notice anyone else on there you may recognize like RITTZ. Tom P and RITTZ have been rocking shows together for years. Make sure you check out the new collaboration "Sloppy Seconds" off Tom P's new album "The Preachers Kid"

B.O.B's career was just taking off back in 2009 and he was a cat who, like Tom P, also claimed Decatur. He had recently signed a deal with Grand Hustle and had some buzz. I decided we should try to get a show with him. I went through some contacts I had made when we did our shows at The Bench and when we opened for D12.
Things came through and we were able to get on a B.O.B show. We named it The Jump Off 4. Sort of in conjunction with my Jump off series, we were trying to move into more legit venues instead. The show packed out with about 500-600 fans that were surprisingly mostly ours and not B.O.B's. It goes to show you how much things can change overnight. Read more about Tom P and B.O.B on the official website
My buddy T McG filmed the show and put together a few videos. I was able to find them buried deep on Youtube. FUN FACT: B.O.B performed Beautiful Girls at this show for the FIRST TIME ever in his career. Of course the song went on to be a mega hit and launched B.O.B into stardom. Anyway, here's some videos of the night. View those below.
